Tea has always been deeply woven into my life — it's part of my culture, my upbringing, and some of my favorite memories with family. Today, I work as a full-time clinical pharmacist, so I understand just how challenging it can be to maintain a wellness routine amidst a packed schedule. My mornings often start as early as 5 a.m., and like many others, I rely on a latte to jumpstart my day. But let’s be real — making a good one from scratch isn’t always realistic when time is tight.
In search of a faster alternative, I tried nearly every instant milk tea/latte powder on the market. But I kept running into the same problem: most were packed with excessive sugar, dairy, artificial flavors, and preservatives — not ideal for my health-conscious lifestyle or my lactose intolerance. I realized there was a real gap: where was the easy, delicious, better-for-you milk tea/latte? That’s when I decided to create my own.
Driven by my passion for health, beauty, and intentional living, I set out to develop a product that balanced convenience with clean, nourishing ingredients. As an Asian-American, I also wanted to celebrate the comforting, familiar flavors I grew up with — starting with my personal favorite: matcha. After months of research, formulating, and sourcing high-quality ingredients, I began sharing small batches with loved ones. Their response? Overwhelmingly positive — and that gave me the push to bring my vision to life.
That vision became PureniTea.
What started as one matcha formula has since grown into a full line of instant milk teas and functional blends with added adaptogens, prebiotics, and collagen.
